We’re on a mission to improve the financial well-being of those we serve, while giving back to those in need. We believe that by aligning our organization with the greater good, we can – and will - leave a lasting and positive impact on our members, employees, and communities alike. Through the collective efforts and commitment of our Employee Resource Groups and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, we’re fostering a more sustainable and socially responsible future.

Adopt-A-Highway Clean Up

Our Sustainability Team hosted two Adopt-A-Highway clean-up days, making a positive impact on our local environment. Volunteers from Securityplus came together, to clear litter and debris from our designated 1.7 mile stretch of Painters Mill Road between Reisterstown Road and Red Run Boulevard.

Annual Credit Union Cherry Blossom Walk/Run

Our amazing Securityplus volunteers traveled to Washington, DC and blossomed with purpose during the Annual Credit Union Cherry Blossom Walk/Run in April. As a credit union community, we believe that together we can make a difference. Every mile covered and every dollar raised was in support of Children's Miracle Hospitals and the miracles they create.

Afro News Annual High Tea

In April, Securityplus team members donned their Sunday best to attend the distinguished AFRO News Annual High Teal Party, an event dedicated to celebrating leadership, education and community development.

This year, the legacy of Divine Nine, a historic coalition of nine Black Greek-letter organizations, was recognized. It was an honor to join our partners at Afro News, Mayor Brandon Scott and many esteemed community leaders for this special event. We're proud to participate in such a meaningful gathering that celebrates community and history.

United Way's Way Day

Our amazing Securityplus volunteers rolled up their sleeves and took part in the United Way of Central Maryland's Way Day in May. Volunteers helped to pack and distribute fresh produce and protein to families in need, making a tangible difference in our community.

 Military Appreciation

We believe in the power of community and the strength it brings, which is why we proudly partnered with A Million Thanks, a respected organization dedicated to supporting our troops and their families, to celebrate Military Appreciation Month.

Throughout the month of May, our dedicated employees and amazing members came together to write heartfelt letters of encouragement to our brave military members and their families, reminding them that their sacrifices are recognized and appreciated by their community.

Black Business Matters Expo

Our Vice President of Business Services, Anthony Carpenter, presented an engaging seminar on "Unlocking Your Business Potential", that highlighted business financing options, SBA lending and financial literacy programs as part of the Afro News Annual Black Business Matters Expo held in May.

This premier event, themed "Celebrating Black-Owned Small Businesses", aligns perfectly with our commitment to fostering community growth, economic development and financial empowerment. Additional team members were also present to discuss how Securityplus can support both individuals and businesses in achieving their financial goals.
