Yes. With PlusPay, you can send money to anyone who has a debit card — they don’t need to belong to a specific financial institution or network. Unlike Zelle, which requires both parties to have accounts with participating financial institutions, PlusPay allows funds to go directly to the recipient’s debit card or bank account. So even if the person uses Zelle, you can still send them money seamlessly through PlusPay.
Anyone can receive money through PlusPay. However, to send money, you must be a member of Securityplus Federal Credit Union.
No. PlusPay has zero fees on all transfers. Every dollar sent is a dollar received.
Not at all — PlusPay works without an app or separate sign-up. However, members who are sending money through PlusPay will need to sign in to Digital Banking to send funds. Once signed in, members can send money instantly. Recipients don’t need an app or an account to get their money.
Most transfers are completed within seconds. Recipients receive their funds as soon as they click the secure link sent via text message or email and enter a debit card to receive the money.
No. A bank account or Securityplus membership is not required to receive money through PlusPay. However, recipients do need a debit card to accept and receive the funds.

If a recipient doesn’t choose how to receive their funds within a set timeframe, the money will be safely returned to the sender.

A partial masked version of your email address and phone number would appear in the recipient's digital banking apps and on their statements.
Sent money to the wrong person? No problem — you can cancel the transfer as long as the recipient hasn’t provided their payment details yet.
The amount entered is higher than the allowed limit.
Yes. The funds are removed immediately from the Senders account.
No. Money transfers can only be completed while you are physically located within the United States. If you attempt to send money while outside the U.S., you may receive a 404 error message or a similar error indicating that the service is unavailable. Once you return to the United States, you can try the transaction again.
If you do not see the email in your inbox, please check your Junk, Spam, or Clutter folder. Email providers may occasionally filter automated messages into these folders. If you still cannot locate the email, verify that the correct email address was used and request that the email be resent if necessary.
Before attempting the transfer again, please verify the following:
- Your debit card has been activated.
- Your debit card is not locked or temporarily disabled.
- The card has not expired.
- Your financial institution is not restricting transactions on the card.
- The card information entered is accurate and up to date.
Currently, transfers are available through the NYCE® network. If your debit card is on the ACCEL® network, the service is not yet supported. Support for ACCEL is coming soon, so please check back for future updates.
