At Securityplus Federal Credit Union, supporting our community means investing in the people and programs that help it thrive. That's why we were proud to participate in the 4th Annual Stuff the Bus school supply drive on August 15, 2026, in partnership with the Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS).

Thanks to the generosity of Securityplus team members, we donated approximately $250 in school supplies to help local students begin the 2026-2027 school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

Representing Securityplus at the event were Danielle Warren, Elijah Thornton, and Mitch Kempisty. Their participation helped strengthen Securityplus' partnership with the Education Foundation while demonstrating our ongoing commitment to supporting students, educators, and families throughout Baltimore County.

Making a Difference for Local Students and Teachers

The Stuff the Bus initiative brought together businesses, organizations, and community members from across Baltimore County to collect essential school supplies for students and educators. This year's campaign was a tremendous success, generating more than $20,000 worth of school supplies to support classrooms throughout the county.

For Securityplus, this effort was especially meaningful because many of the resources collected will benefit schools and families right here in our local community.

During the event, Securityplus representatives had the opportunity to meet Dr. William (Bill) Heiser, Superintendent of Baltimore County Public Schools, and learn more about the programs helping students and educators succeed across the county.

One of the highlights of the event was learning more about the Education Foundation's Exchangeree Educator Resource Centers, which provide Baltimore County educators with free access to classroom supplies, books, educational materials, and other essential resources.

Even more exciting, one of the Exchangeree locations is right here in Windsor Mill at 2034 Lord Baltimore Drive, just minutes from Securityplus' branches and corporate offices.

Knowing that supplies collected through Stuff the Bus will help stock a resource center serving educators in the same neighborhoods where our members live, work, and learn makes this partnership especially rewarding.

The Exchangeree program has made a remarkable impact since launching in 2018. To date, the resource centers have:
•    Served more than 20,700 educators
•    Supported an estimated 540,000 students
•    Distributed more than 102,000 books
•    Provided nearly $4.8 million in educational, wellness, and classroom resources

These resources help teachers create positive learning environments and ensure students have access to the tools they need to succeed.
The Education Foundation supports Baltimore County Public Schools, one of the largest school systems in the nation, serving more than 108,000 students and 8,000 educators across 174 schools, programs, and centers.
